STONEY CREEK CABIN

We had a wonderful vacation at Stoney Creek Cabin! There were so many amenities provided with
the house that there were days during our stay we opted to just stay in (hot tub, fire pit, playground, video
games, movies, and wooded area with a creek to explore)! The house was immaculately clean when we arrived and
had lots of plush towels, comfortable bedding, and plenty of dishes, and every kitchen item imaginable (even a
crock pot and bread maker!). The owner provided "starter" items for us like toilet paper, coffee/filters, etc to
give us time to get to the store. And, we really appreciated the thorough prep communications and helpful
directions to local spots. We stayed for nearly 4 weeks, and easily settled in - the owner checked in on us a
couple of times (enough that it was helpful and not intrusive at all), kept garbage picked up, etc. The location
is super convenient to main roads but felt secluded. I would highly recommend Stoney Creek Cabin - - from the
minute we booked to the day we left, it was the best vacation rental experience we've had!

suppose it sums up our level of satisfaction with our stay to note that our 5-year-old was distraught going to
bed on our last night because she really felt deeply we needed to “keep the house.” There was not a single
thing we wished for that you had not already thought of – right down to the reading
glasses! Our multi-generational group found lots to enjoy in the area. It’s too bad Bele Chere
festival is ending, because we enjoyed it deeply. Hooker Falls was a
chilly delight. We visited Elijah Gem Mine on a rainy day and had a blast. The food at Mean Mr.
Mustard’s Café was excellent (Hendersonville). I hope everyone enjoys
their stay as much as we did. Thanks!

Wow! This is the perfect family vacation home!
Well done! Your home is absolutely the best we’ve
ever stayed at….you have thought of everything a person could possibly want or need. Your kitchen is much better equipped with great appliances and accessories than my own
kitchen at home! It’s apparent you invested in quality mattresses and
linens because we never slept so well. The massage chair and hot tub rate
high on our list too. (It's much appreciated that you actually had
clean water in the hot tub!) The kids spent hours outside on the play equipment and in the stream out
back. Several evenings we roasted marshmallows over the fire pit and
looked up at the stars….such a change from big city living! We cannot
thank you enough for providing such a clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable home. We will certainly tell our friends and be back next

Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation home! We felt like we were at
home. You have absolutely everything we could have needed and more! The kids loved the back
yard playset and playing in the creek. Even though we had a few
rainy days, there were plenty of games and activities for us to do at the house.

The BBQ Ribfest was great held once a year in July;
The Asheville Pizza & Brewing Co was great; we got to watch Epic in 3D for only $3 a
person and eat pizza while we watched; they also have a great gib game room for
The Asheville Tourist baseball was very kids friendly and on Mondays kids eat free with a
slice of pizza and drink.
We went hiking in Dupont State Forest and swam in Fawn Lake; Also slipped down Sliding Rock

The Biltmore Estate was lovely and the Gardens were beautiful, lots of waling and hiking but
well worth it.
We also went to the North Carolina Nature Center to see animals; it was a lot like a very
small zoon and the kids were excited to see the black bears.
Lake Lure had a great beach, 2 water slides and a little water park which the kids really
enjoyed…also right by is Chimney Rock.
We had excellent dinners out at “Papas and Beers” (Hendersonville) and “Judy Lucy’s”
(Asheville). The bakery on the Main Street has excellent cream doughnuts.
We had a great fun-filled vacation and the cabin was such a wonderful
experience. Thank you so much for a vacation our children will remember and cherish for a

Wonderful amenities made it a perfect
We are senior citizens from SC vacationing with our daughter and son-in-law from Tenn. Our
week at Stoney Creek Cabin was even better than we could have imagined. The cabin was very clean, homey and
inviting. The decor and appliances, and tvs were all updated and the instructions for use very complete and easy
to follow. Thanks to the very comfortable beds and plenty of warm water,(also the massage chair) it wasn't hard
to find rest and relaxation. The cabin is not hard to find and was located on a site that makes you think you're
further in the mountains. It was a relief that we didn't have to go far off the main road and that there were
"permanent" neighbors nearby. We were about 8-10 min. from Hendersonville downtown and enjoyed the free bands on
three nights downtown. The reason we didn't use the outdoor cabin amenities was due to heavier than normal
rainfall. We travelled to nearby Saluda, Flat Rock and Chimney Rock and enjoyed as many of the local sights and
shops we could find! Our favorite restaurant, the Sea Breeze, was nearby and served great broiled and fried
seafood. Will we come again? You bet!! The attention to detail and caring attitude of the owner was

This home was just perfect for my husband and I, our daughter and her husband, and their 3
young daughters (ages 3, 2 & 1). The toys, bedroom and
playground equipment kept them happy every day—it was so convenient that they didn’t have to bring any
toys! Our dogs loved the sunroom – it was so convenient for them to have their own space for their
dog beds with outside access! And we appreciated not
having them underfoot in the house! We have stayed in many
VRBO home over the years, and this one was my favorite – the location, the décor, the super comfortable beds -
we slept so well here. Our last night we made apple pies from apples we picked, and enjoyed a fire in the fire pit
outside under the stars. I hope our little
grand-daughters remember this wonderful vacation. I hate to go
home! Also, the internet connection was great, which was crucial for my husband’s
business. And this house is so close to Asheville, waterfalls, Maggie Valley – so much to do within
an hour’s drive! We’ll be back!

Excellent location with all the
This cabin is very well appointed, providing everything needed for either a brief or extended
stay. Three buddies and I travel to Hendersonville every year for several rounds of great golf. Although we
don't cook on the trip, the kitchen in this unit is very well equipped for those who prefer to eat at home. The
cabin easily accommodates us four guys and would be very nice for a family of six or eight. The TVs and Wi-Fi
provided worked extremely well throughout the cabin. For a large family, the washer ands dryer provided are
I would certainly do a return stay here and highly recommend this home for those
wanting a great location and all the conveniences you might need.

Wonderful, comfortable home with all the amenities!
We had a wonderful stay at the Stoney Creek Cabin! Could easily live there! Very easy to find,
easy to navigate to the home, fully stocked with anything you could need and more! My family enjoyed the hot
tub, massage chair, sunroom, play ground and the creek. Thanks so much for a great

My family and I had a great time at the Stoney Creek cabin! The location was perfect...we
wanted to explore the mountains, Biltmore, and also found a cute brewery in Hendersonville, and the cottage was
right between all of those. (I highly recommend checking out Black Balsam Knob & Tennent Mountain,
easy/moderate hike, incredible panoramic mountain views). The beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway is not too far,
either. We took this to Black Balsam Knob, along with to Mt. Mitchell. It's an absolutely breathtaking
Every detail was worked out - from the lights being on
and welcoming me when I arrived, to supplying every cooking tool imaginable that I don't even have in my own home,
to having a supply of chopped wood for the fire pit.
There was plenty of room for all of us. It was relaxing
and peaceful the first few nights with just my parents and me. Then it became a full house, but a fun house, when
my sister arrived toward the end of our trip with her husband and 3 young girls. The kids got a kick out of the
rocking horse and stuffed animals, and loved the play set in the backyard.
There is so much to do in the area, I only wish we had more time to explore, and more
time to relax and enjoy the house (the hot tub was a main amenity to me, but we barely had a chance to use it).
Next time, because there will be a next time, we will have to rent the cabin for much longer. Thank you, Stephanie,
for a wonderful vacation!
